HAPPY SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO SENATOR NED MUNIR NWOKO.

It's been two years of fruitful legislative activities by our own Most distinguished Sen Ned Nwoko at the national assembly. Within these two years many things have already been achieved including pushing the bill for the creation of Anioma state to the stage of Public hearing, redesigning of the all important Oko-Aboh road and the award of the said project by the NDDC, just to mention a few. His intervention in the step down of Okpai IPP and subsequent lighting up of the whole Delta North plus the completion of the Ogwashi-Uku dam to supply clean pipeborne water to over 70% of Delta North communities is also worthy of note. 

The Senator has sponsored over a record 30 bills and 25 motions in a spate of two years and carved a niche for himself as one of the most influential members of the 10th Assembly.

Between last month of May and this month of June, several Delta North indigenes have received gainful employment in different Federal Govt MDA's with more people to be employed soonest courtesy of Sen Ned Nwoko who have also raised the bar of legislation in the National Assembly. 

CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS INITIATED BY SENATOR NED NWOKO 

Another area where Senator Ned Nwoko has done very well is the initiative to provide several life impacting projects to his constituency of Delta North.

Some of them are as follows:

(1) medical outreach programmes across the 9 LGAs of Delta North

(2) Construction of 2km farm road in Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North LGA

(3)Training and empowerment of women, youths and farmers in Delta North

(4) Fencing of Government Boys Secondary school, Ibusa, Delta state 

(5) Provision of solar - powered motorised boreholes and booster station in Ashaka town.

(6) Skill acquisition for women and youths at Ika school Ibusa, Delta State

(7) Installation of solar powered street lights in selected communities in Delta North

(8)Construction of water supply scheme at Ibusa including installation of 3 boreholes and reticulations in Aniocha/ Oshimili Federal constituency.

(9) Supply and installation of solar powered street lights in Lander Brothers Anchorage Road , old GRA Asaba .

(10)Construction of mini- sports stadium for youths in Aniocha North LGA

(11) Construction of Onicha Olona / Ezi water supply project in Aniocha North LGA

(12) Maintenance of dams: Owena Earth dam, Ogwashi Uku dam and Ukhun- Erah dam

(13) Construction of Idumuje Ugboko dam: feasibility studies 

(14)Construction of Ogwashi Uku regional water supply scheme 

(15) Provision of mechanization and extension service system under the Renewed Hope Agenda in Delta North Senatorial District 

(16)Construction and rehabilitation of Agricultural infrastructure in Delta North Senatorial district 

(17) Provision of water smart irrigation system in Delta North Senatorial District 

(18)Construction of drainage system in Idumuje Ugboko, Delta North Senatorial district 

(19)Erosion Control and channelization works in Delta North senatorial district 

(20) Supply of drugs to selected Primary Health Care Centres in Delta North senatorial district 

(21) Renovation and Equipping of Ezi Primary Health Care Centre in Delta North

(22) Provision of Solar powered industrial borehole in Obomkpa community in Delta North Senatorial district 

(23) Construction of ultra modern town hall in Amai community in Delta North senatorial district 

(24) Capacity development training and empowerment program for youths , women and farmers in Delta North 

(25) Provision of computers and laptops for students in Delta North Senatorial District 

(26) Training and empowerment of women on production of Akwa -Ocha in Delta North Senatorial district 

(27)Training and empowerment of youths and women on cassava farming across Delta North 

(28)Livestock farming and training for youths in Delta North senatorial district 

(29)Construction of markets ( open and locked up stores) across Delta North

(30) Establishment of fish farms and procurement of fertilizers across Delta North

(38) Provision of all-in-one solar street lights in selected communities across Delta North.

The records and achievements of Sen Ned Nwoko is too numerous to mention within the span of two years that at the end of this his tenure, Delta Northerners will be glad that they sent the right person to the Nigerian Senate. Once again congratulations to Sen Ned Nwoko and all Delta Northerners.
