WHY DELTA YOUTHS MUST RALLY BEHIND SENATOR NED NWOKO

As a proud Anioma son and advocate for the progress of Delta North, I feel compelled to call on our youth and the leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and APC in Delta State to unite behind Senator Ned Nwoko,this is where our brother,the Deputy Governor of Delta State Government should be very careful,not to be used to fight dirty against his brother.

In all honesty, his stellar performance in the National Assembly is a testament to his unwavering commitment to Delta North, Delta State, and Nigeria at large. 

If you truly want to be objective and not subjective, you will agree with me that Senator Nwoko’s accomplishments and vision deserve recognition, not unnecessary distractions or intimidation from political rivals or party factions.  

Since his election as the Senator representing Delta North, Senator Nwoko has stood tall as a giant of legislative excellence. He has not only represented Anioma with pride but has also championed national causes that have a direct and positive impact on our lives.  

Senator Ned Nwoko has sponsored numerous bills aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians. For example, the National Health Insurance Amendment Bill which was designed to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all. More so, the Student Loan Bill, which seeks to provide financial assistance to indigent students, ensuring that education remains a right, not a privilege.  

As a true Niger Deltan who understands the importance and challenges of the environment, he sponsored the Climate Change and Environmental Protection Bill reflecting his commitment to tackling the environmental challenges threatening our state and nation. In addition to these landmark bills, he has moved motions addressing critical national issues such as the lingering fuel subsidy crisis, insecurity in the Niger Delta region, and the need for equitable resource allocation. 

It is worth noting that Senator Nwoko’s active participation in debates and his push for transparency and accountability in governance have earned him respect across party lines in the National Assembly.  

For us in Delta North, Senator Nwoko’s presence in the Senate is not just symbolic, it is strategic. He has consistently advocated for policies that address the unique challenges of our people. His deep understanding of the socio-economic issues facing Anioma, coupled with his bold initiatives to attract federal attention to Delta North, is proof of his genuine love for our region.  

Under his stewardship, projects aimed at boosting agriculture, education, and infrastructure development have been initiated. He is a vocal supporter of youth empowerment and has proposed initiatives to create jobs and support budding entrepreneurs in Anioma and beyond.  

As a Nigerian citizen, Senator Nwoko has every right to express himself freely and pursue his vision for a better Delta State and Nigeria. It is disheartening to see attempts by some within the Delta State PDP to stifle his voice or intimidate him for exercising his constitutional rights. 

The PDP, as a party, must recognize that internal democracy thrives on diverse opinions and constructive dialogue. Silencing Senator Nwoko and his supporters still in the Party, would not only be unjust but also counterproductive to the party's mission of serving the people.  

Delta youths, this is our moment to stand with a leader who has consistently demonstrated that he has our best interests at heart. Let us not be swayed by cheap propaganda or political gimmicks aimed at tarnishing his image. Instead, we must amplify his achievements and support his vision.  

Our support for Senator Nwoko should transcend party lines. It should be about endorsing competence, vision, and integrity. He has proven himself as a senator who prioritizes people over politics, progress over personal gain. This is the kind of leadership we need in Delta North and beyond.  

Senator Ned Nwoko’s track record speaks volumes. He has shown resilience in the face of challenges and remains focused on delivering for Delta North and Nigeria. 

As youths, we owe it to ourselves and future generations to rally behind him. To the Delta State PDP, I urge you to respect his right to contribute freely to the political discourse without intimidation. Delta North is proud to have a leader like Senator Ned Nwoko. Let us unite in celebrating and supporting his efforts to build a brighter future for Anioma, Delta State, and Nigeria.
