DELTA NORTH POLITICS: IT IS TIME TO PUT THE GLADIATORS ON THE POLITICAL SCALE AND KNOW THEIR INDIVIDUAL WORTHS (PT 1)

There is a reason why the earth quakes, even as the elephant moves with some dignified gentility and on the other hand, there is a reason why the ground does not itch or even notice the acrobatics and nuisance of the jumping rodent on its surface;

The explanation is not far-fetched; 

It lies in the variation of the amount or quantity of their bulkiness, heaviness or massiveness ~ their individual weights and impacts.

Once again across the country, the political clouds are already gathering and the looks on their frowny dark faces reveal how windy, rainy and stormy the entire season will be, when it begins to unleash the drumming liquids upon the land and in the end, observers shall determine the one with the masculine traits among the two tortoises. 

This is why I have always reiterated the fact that;

"The battlefield is not an area for bantering, but an arena for battering".

The political dissection of Delta state into three senatorial parts, saw to the carving out of a portion called Delta North Senatorial District, which is made up of the ibo speaking indigenes of the state, otherwise called the Anioma people and subdivided into three federal constituencies, namely Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Ika Federal Constituency and Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency.

These three constituencies are also parents to nine local government areas that are very vital and significant across the state.

For many decades now, a section of the political class from Delta North Senatorial District have become the regular and familiar faces in the political space, having exploited the people’s political endeavours as well as controlling their political thoughts and aspirations, to the level that this crop of oligarchs know not any other business on earth, except politics and all the polite tricks.

Today, the music is changing, as the people have risen and are asking certain questions about the weights and gallantry of their so-called political warriors in the political field.

As a matter of fact, none of these gladiators ever knew that a time like this will come when they would be made to face the panel of enquiring kinsmen, who had hitherto ignored their recklessness and cluelessness.

As it stands, some of them are currently possesed by the rigours of political rigor mortis because they are stiff dead and floating lifelessly in the sea of competitive politics. 

The era of crude allocation of accolade and unmerited reverence to them has been eclipsed and forgotten in the face of political reality and rationality.

Before now, what these political opportunists were good at doing was hiding under the guise of party leadership and structures as favourites for cheap popularity and political sycophancy.

Shameful as it is, some of these political lilliputians

formed several political cliques and created various cabals that distorted the intellectual and academic profiles of many potential political heavyweights and exploited their political values as well as extinguishing their lights.

They also brainwashed the people via the 'party supremacy mindsets' and systematically disseminated an unprogressive and diversionary campaign in all spheres of their intellectual and democratic adventures.

Unfortunately, these people have over the years militated against Delta North political advancement via their political complacency and miscarriages.

They believe in praise-mongering and sloganeering as well as uninhibited cheering of themselves for self awarded accolades, and throwing shameless tantrums on the dictum of democratic consciousness, which they perceive may stand on their ways.

Now, it is obvious that most of these noisemakers in the Anioma political scene have exhausted their shady razzmatazz and shenanigans, which are already working against them in their formula for political 'factionalization' and 'fractionalization' of political followers into meaningless groups and units in their various parties.

Meanwhile, because of their selfish agenda, some Anioma politicians are neck deep in the politics of bitterness and their followers are sharply and strongly divided along the borderline of assertions, assumptions and aspersions.

These are the deceitful characteristics of some of the acclaimed elitists or political leaders of the Anioma extraction, who call themselves crocodiles, while in the actual sense, they are mere lizards ~ especially the weak ones that can not even climb the tree.

In the end, they cause confusions and make sure that the people-oriented and collectively shared democratic culture and values do not exist in the senatorial district.

It is the persistent reign of fiends as friends and that is about the only legacy they foisted and hoisted on the land ~ selfishness and greed.

When it comes to the politics of Delta North Senatorial District, some of the impostors now parading themselves as leaders are bunch of political featherweights, who do not count on the platform of political measurement and development in the land and this time around, they are all likely going to be ousted and casted into political oblivion.

These political profiteers and racketeers who are only out to trade without an iota of conscience in them, will be 'downed' and drowned in their mediocrity which have no political relevance and reference.

It is very pathetic that for many dispensations, out of sheer arrogance and vaulting ambition, the political future of the Anioma people have been jeopardized and jaundiced, due to the treacherous agenda of a familiar few to usurp the position of political leadership for the purpose of creating some malnourished and kindergarten political empires, bringing down a rain of political disintegration allover the land 

~ They have all failed!

These feather weighted politicians are traitors in all ramifications and identifications.

They don't mind conceding and consenting to slavery because of the savoury of crumbs that are placed before them at the detriment and destruction of their people.

As from today, it is going to be a different ball game as politics in Delta North Senatorial District is at the peak of its revolution. These revolutionary attributes have come to stay and modify the scale for determining 'who is who' in the field of context.

The hitherto deceived and the previously cheated Anioma sons and daughters will be coming to take their pound of flesh, this time around. 

The embarrassing arrogant display of crude politics that defines the moral compass of some pretentious political personalities in Anioma land should not be given another chance to thrive.

We had had enough of the so-called leaders whose only defining character is the wealth they amass for themselves and not the quality of service and allegiance to the people.

The character we need in our politicians are that of men who will never trade Anioma off for a morsel of meal. 

Those kind of men are the heavyweighted politicians and our arms are opened wide to embrace them forever.

This is a clarion call;

Men of quality in attainment, disposition and content of character across Delta North should wake up from slumber and take up their responsibilities.
