A CALL FOR CHANGE IN NDOKWA POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT
The time has come for the Ndokwa people to reevaluate our political landscape and the leaders we choose to celebrate. Our representatives—whether in the Senate, the House of Representatives, the House of Assembly, or as local councilors—must be held accountable for their performance in promoting sustainable development within our communities. It is no longer sufficient to praise them without assessing their contributions against those made by representatives from other ethnic nationalities.
True leadership in Ndokwa extends beyond elected officials. It encompasses the farmers, artisans, and everyday citizens who take the time to cast their votes, hoping for a better future. It includes the kings, chiefs, Okpala-Uku, as well as the men, women, and youth who stand firm in support of achieving successful electoral outcomes. These individuals are the backbone of our community, and it is they who deserve our recognition.
Furthermore, the Ndokwa community must awaken and refuse to remain subservient to political elites. We must challenge our status as a secondary player to the influential political figures from other ethnic groups in Delta State.
It is time to reject naivety, overcome myopic thinking, and move past parochialism. Ndokwa deserves representatives who prioritize our development and welfare, not just their political ambitions. We must demand accountability and strive for leadership that truly reflects the interests and aspirations of our people. Enough is enough—let us stand firm and advocate for our rightful place at the table.
IN SOLIDARITY AND PURPOSE,
