NDOKWA YOUTHS CUM ADVOCATE DEMANDS FOR TRANSPARENCY OVER SURVEILLANCE SLOTS ACCRUED TO NDOKWA NATION

The Ndokwa Youths under the umbrella of Ndokwa Progressive Youths Assembly which is the foremost socio-political youth group of Ndokwa/Ukwuani Nation has called for transparency over accrued slots of surveillance.

The group Secretary, Advocate Bela Ween Odigiri while addressing newsmen after the group meeting held in kwale on the 10th April, 2025 described the incessant complaints enmeshed in the payment of surveillance accrued to Ndokwa/Ukwuani Nation.

The said purported payment of surveillance for Ndokwa Nation by some of the contractors in charge in Ndokwa nation is shrouded in secrecy which gave lacuna for irregularities enmeshed over the payments accrued to Ndokwa/Ukwuani Nation.

The payments has been shrouded in secrecy and corruption and thereby making us oil producing communities to be benefitting little or nothing from the surveillance and yet we bear the hazards resulting from oil and gas production and transportation.

I, therefore call on relevant authorities and agencies, especially the Senate adhoc committee on incessant crude oil theft led by Sen Ned Nwoko to as a matter of urgency investigate and probe the mystery of how contractors are paying Ndokwa/Ukwuani Nation surveillance in secrecy and corruption enmeshed manner.
