NDOKWA MUST UNITE NOW: IPP PHASE 2 IS OUR MANDATE, NOT A TOOL FOR POLITICAL MANIPULATION
BY COMRADE IGELIGE CHUKUNOMNAZU.
For too long, Ndokwa Nation has been treated like a political afterthought. We provide oil, gas, and the backbone of the country's power infrastructure, yet we remain the only major nationality with the status but without stable electricity or meaningful representation.
Today, a new danger is quietly rising from the attempts by proponents of Anioma State agitation using the IPP Phase 2 Project as a bargaining chip to curry supports in Ndokwa land, while hiding their real political motives under the guise of “development.” Let us be clear, the IPP Phase 2 project is not a political favour. It is our right. It is not a gift from anyone. It is Ndokwa host communities inheritance, built on our land with our gas and our years of sacrifice.
WHY NDOKWA PEOPLE MUST UNITE ACROSS ALL POLITICAL BLOCS
At this critical moment, the power of unity is the only weapon strong enough to protect Ndokwa’s interests. This is not the time for party vs. party fights. This is not the time for “my camp vs. your camp."
2027 is around the corner, and Ndokwa people must go to the negotiation table with one voice, one message, one demand.
IPP PHASE 2 Project must be fully implemented, and NDOKWA must be the primary beneficiary. If we are united, no political bloc can ignore us. If we speak with one voice, no aspirant or party can bypass us. If we stand together, we control our own future, not outsiders.
The real threat is political hijacking of NDOKWA’S PRIORITIES; Let us not be deceived for soome of those suddenly “championing” the completion of IPP Phase 2 project are not doing it out of love for Ndokwa nation. They want to use this project as a political gimmick to build acceptance for their Anioma state agenda, a project that does not guarantee Ndokwa political leadership in the proposed state arrangement. Does not prioritize Ndokwa development, doesn't address Ndokwa marginalization, and doesn't consider Ndokwa people at the centre of decision-making.
Instead, they seek to curry favour by presenting themselves as “HELPERS” while quietly pushing an agenda that may eventually submerge Ndokwa politically under a different power structure.
NDOKWA BE WISE: WE MUST NOT FALL FOR THIS STRATEGY
IPP Phase 2 must never be allowed to become:
A campaign tool for outsiders
A bargaining chip for settlers
A reward to buy Ndokwa silence
A political bribe to drag Ndokwa into agendas that don’t benefit us
A yardstick to degrade us.
Our strategy for 2027 must be simple and firm; Ndokwa leaders across all political divides must sit down and agree:
1. IPP Phase 2 SHALL BE the unified negotiation point for 2027.
2. Every aspirant seeking Ndokwa votes must sign on to the Ndokwa Mandate Charter.
3. No politician or movement should be allowed to hijack the project to advance hidden agendas.
4. Ndokwa interest comes before any Anioma, Delta North, or partisan interest.
A united Ndokwa can never be ignored in that; When Ndokwa stands as one, we become:
A political force
A negotiation bloc
An agenda-setting nationality
A people who can not be deceived or manipulated
IPP Phase 2 is more than a project. It is the single biggest opportunity to
Transform our economy
Power our industries
Light up our communities
Strengthen our bargaining power
Reposition Ndokwa politically
Let Ndokwa leaders choose unity, not manipulation, as our people will not forgive us if we fail to unite for a collective agenda in 2027. Our children will not forgive us if we trade our future for political promises. History will not forgive us if we allow others to scatter us while taking what belongs to us. This is the time for us to rise as a people with one voice and one mandate.
IPP PHASE 2 PROJECT IS OUR RIGHT, OUR WEAPON, OUR FUTURE.
WE MUST UNITE FOR THIS FUTURE.
LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN TODAY, FOR THE FUTURE IS HERE AND NOW.
THE FUTURE BEGINS WITH US!!!
