APPRECIATION TO DELTA NORTH APC FOR SUCCESS OF SENATORIAL MEETING.

Dear APC leaders and other stakeholders

It is with profound honour and joy that I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to esteemed members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District for the huge success of the party meeting held on Saturday 14th June 2025, at my country home, Mount Ned Resort, Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North local government area. 

The profuse attendance of the meeting by thousands of APC stakeholders, including party leaders, women, youths and various groups has kept me happily overwhelmed with ornate gratitude.

First, let me commend the foresight of the leadership of APC Delta North Senatorial District for initiating this gathering, which I understand is rotated periodically among the three federal constituencies that make up the senatorial district. We can all recall that the most recent of the party meeting before this Idumuje - Ugboko gathering, had earlier held at Agbor and Ndokwa/Ukwuani axis.

Considering that this development started before I joined the party in February 2025, and having participated in its last two editions, I was excited to host the meeting for one reason : It deepens the bonds that bind us in brotherhood and progressive politics.

I am not only glad that I offered my country home as venue for the latest meeting but also fulfilled that it became a rallying vista for celebration and consolidation of the goals and gains of our great party among the generality of the people.

I note with deep introspection the symbolic VOTE OF CONFIDENCE passed in President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and I ,an unsolicited gesture that has attracted much excitement and goodwill from virtually all quarters especially the populace.

It is instructive that the stakeholders drawn from the nine local government areas of Delta North unanimously acknowledged the social impact of Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, Oborevwori's M.O.R.E Agenda and my legislative efforts in the lives of the people. With great humility and sense of responsibility, I thankfully relish the gale of endorsements from party and ordinary people.

Let me state that President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori have my full support every step of the way. I urge all my constituents, Deltans and Nigerians to continue to support them with unwavering loyalty and patriotism as they chart a noble course for a better Nigeria and progressive Delta respectively.

I must also commend the national leadership of the APC under His Excellency, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje CON for his deep commitment to the progress of our party, which has reflected in the successful outcome of the Delta North Senatorial meeting. My special gratitude to the Delta state chairman of APC ,Elder Omeni Sobotie for his bold presence at the meeting. I thank the Delta North APC chairman, Chief Eluaka Adizue and his executive committee at the local government and ward levels for their enthusiastic participation at the meeting.

Let me also express appreciation to Hon.Ngozi Okolie, member House of Representatives, Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency, Hon. Nicholas Ossai, former member, Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency and Engineer Doris Uboh ,ex- member, Ika federal constituency. Thanks to former Speakers of Delta state House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Victor Ochei and Rt.Hon. Olise Imegwu for their solidarity.

I also acknowledge the presence of Barrister Chiedu Ebie, Board chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chief Emmanuel Eboh, Dr.Mrs.Anthonia Ashiedu, Chief Mrs.Adaora Giwa-Amu, Chief Mrs. Mercy Almona Isei, Dr Tony Nwaka, Hon.Chamberlain Dunkwu and Chief Johnson Opone, former President General, Ndokwa Neku Union, among other dignitaries too numerous to mention. 

Also worthy of gratitude is the impressive gathering of APC youths, men and women as well as different socio-cultural bodies who turned out to make the occasion momentous and memorable.

Let me at this premise briefly address for the records, the purported reservations of a handful of APC Delta North chairmen numbering seven (7) persons who tried feebly to cast aspersions on the mammoth meeting, witnessed by thousands of APC members. Like every other faithful party member, I am encouraged over the clear position of the Delta North APC chairman. 

While the colossal majority would always have their way, the small minority are at liberty to have their say. This is the fact of life including politics. 

The groundswell of party popularity and affirmation which played out at the Saturday 14th June 2025 meeting at Idumuje-Ugboko stand vivid in reality and every imagination. One or two tiny voices of dissent, sponsored or not, can never match the echo of truth, reason and established order. 

The mild drama, as infinitesimal as it seems, becomes a dismissive non- issue when viewed against the backdrop that the few complainants participated throughout the meeting and never raised a whisper against all proceedings.

As their conscientious Senator, democrat and brother, I beseech them to join me and other stakeholders in our renewed commitment to build a stronger, peaceful and united APC at the senatorial, state and national levels under our foremost leader, President Bola Tinubu.

I thank every one once more for the amazing success of the Delta North APC meeting.

Coming coincidentally at my second year as Senator, I am emboldened much more than ever before to face the future with all dedication, in the service of the people.
