COMR NJUWE CHARLES APPRECIATE UMUTU PEOPLE FOR ELECTING HIM AS YOUTH PRESIDENT
1st October 2025

THANK YOU, UMUTU YOUTHS, FOR YOUR UNWAVERING SUPPORT AND CONFIDENCE REPOSED IN ME
Beloved Umutu youths,
It is with great joy and utmost humility that I stand before you today, on the threshold of history, to accept this sacred mandate of leading the vibrant youths of our great community, Umutu. I am deeply grateful, and I pledge to deliver faithfully on the trust you have placed in me.
You will agree with me that the journey to this moment, which culminated on the 29th of September 2025, has been long and intricate. From the rigorous processes, the keen interest shown, to the challenges of nomination at the Kpukpu family level, we have indeed “weathered many storms and navigated complex paths to reach this point.” Truly, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen” (Isaiah 60:22). I return all glory to God, who made this victory possible, and thank Him for the resilience, unity, and courage displayed by all of us throughout this arduous journey.
I salute the entire Umutu youth for your unalloyed support, courage, sacrifices, and commitment towards a peaceful, credible, and history making election. This victory belongs to all of us.
I am profoundly aware of the huge responsibility entrusted to me. Together with my team, we are fully prepared to serve diligently, to protect the interests of our youths, and to project the good image of Umutu both within and beyond.
I remain grateful to my maternal family, the Umu Chime Ezhedi of Oginye, on whose ticket I contested, I thank the Egwe family too, many of whom stood firm for me, the entire Oginye family, and indeed all six families of Umutu that produced the Congress members.
Special appreciation goes to Hon. Engr. Marvelous Ozuem Uwakwe (White Eagle ????), Hon. Dr. Alphonsus Chukwutem Ojo, Hon. David Ochonogor, Hon. Monday Ibobo, my parents Mr. Titus and Mrs. Josephine Njuwe, my dear wife Mrs. Grace Njuwe, and numerous other leaders, elders, brothers, and sisters too many to list, who stood firmly by me. May God richly bless you all for believing in the vision.
I commend the electoral officers led by the Umutu Development Union (UDU), the palace, and individuals of proven integrity, Hon. Dr. Eze Edike, Mr. Otuya, and Mr. Douglass Okolo for conducting a free, fair, and credible election. I equally appreciate the security agencies for ensuring peace and order throughout the exercise.
Permit me also to appreciate the performing Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Council, Hon. Bar. Possible Solomon Ajede, whose timely intervention during tense moments helped restore calm and unity. Thank you, sir.
My victory transcends the ballots of the Congress men it reflects the collective will and aspirations of Umutu youths. Therefore, I declare, "NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISH!
Now that elections are over, it is time for governance. Let us put aside our differences and work together. If in the course of politicking I or my supporters offended anyone, I sincerely ask for forgiveness. I extend a hand of fellowship to all aggrieved members, as unity is paramount for our progress.
The Umutu Youth Congress under my leadership will synergize with the Okpala-Uku in Council, UDU, security agencies, and other stakeholders to foster peace, unity, and development in our community.
To my campaign team and supporters, this victory is your triumph. Your dedication, sacrifice, and faith in the Umutu First Agenda made this possible. I pray God rewards you abundantly.
As your president, I promise an inclusive and participatory government that prioritizes youth welfare. We will actively engage government agencies, NGOs, humanitarian foundations, corporate organizations, and individuals to attract opportunities in youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, education, and mentorship programs.
Thank you once again for the confidence you have reposed in me. I remain dedicated to the Umutu Project "UMUTU FIRST" to the glory of God and for the benefit of our people.
May Umutu succeed!
K’Ani Umutu Di Mma.
